We know it, you know it--when it comes to issues of energy and climate, Alberta faces a slew of challenges. However, these challenges are not insurmountable and a brighter environmental future in Alberta is possible. It's something we deeply believe in, as is demonstrated through our work on this site. We also are confident about the important role that the youth of Alberta play in creating and implanting solutions for a better future.

That's why we're excited to share an amazing opportunity with our readers: Youth Energy Changemakers, a new program from the 2018 Alberta Climate Summit. The program, which is in its second year, gives successful applicants the chance to pitch their ideas at the Alberta Climate Summit. The audience at the summit includes the "who's who" of the energy world, from government representatives to industry players. The program provides a great platform for youth with innovative ideas or solutions to share them with individuals that can help their ideas to become a reality. It's also a great way to meet people who share your passion for solving the energy and climate challenges we face in our province.

If you are someone between the ages of 16-25 and you believe you have anything to contribute to the conversation, take a moment to apply here. The deadline is July 22nd. Once you're done with your application, share it with your friends so that they can apply as well!
